The Child Nutrition Department is excited to celebrate citrus. Try our fresh orange and tangerine options this month at your school!

Add some sunshine to your meal with citrus! Citrus fruits include oranges, lemons, limes and grapefruits, in addition to tangerines and pomelos. Not only are the citrus fruits in this diverse group delicious and refreshing, they are a great source of nutrients!

  • Vitamin C: Helps our immune system fight against germs.
  • Folate & B12: B Vitamins that help our body make healthy red blood cells and proteins.
  • Fiber: Helps maintain healthy blood sugar levels and supports heart health.
